POTW Character Designs

This 3–4 minute paper-cut stop motion animation film was developed over four months, focusing on storytelling through handcrafted visuals. Combining armature-based stop motion and replacement animation, the project aimed to create fluid motion and expressive characters. Starting with storyboarding and animatic, the process involved designing and constructing paper characters and sets, followed by meticulous frame-by-frame animation. The final stage included editing, sound design, and polishing. As a process-based portfolio, this project highlights the tactile charm of papercut animation while showcasing the creative journey of narrative and technical exploration in stop motion film-making.
