What if a system is still watching you… even when it looks asleep?
Ghost Protocol is an interactive installation made using TouchDesigner. It explores the idea that even when systems seem quiet or inactive, they might still be observing, recording, and remembering.
When someone enters the space, the screen shows only soft, shifting patterns and faint ghost-like figures. These are not live reflections, but traces of people who were here before.
As the new user moves, the system begins recording their behavior without showing anything in return. Once they reach a certain level of interaction, the system wakes up and reveals what it has been collecting.
This project invites us to think about how technology watches and learns from us. It asks us to reflect on how we leave invisible traces behind and how we might already be part of something larger than we realize.
