“En Plein air” originating from the French language, translates to “in open air.” It describes the act of painting landscapes outdoors. To create a painting proficiently, an artist needs an array of tools and a studio space. When painting in Plein air, an artist must carry all necessary tools outdoors and set up a workspace where everything is easily accessible, without added inconvenience in transporting, unpacking, and cleaning up.The tools and equipment must be portable and travel-friendly, ensuring a seamless commute to and from the outdoor scenery the artist aims to capture in their painting, without adding any extra hassle. Additionally, artists have to navigate various weather conditions like heat, wind, humidity, or cold, as well as adapt to the geographical features and terrain of the location. Once the painting is complete, they must transport the wet artwork carefully.The paintings may encompass various subjects such as landscapes, cityscapes, seascapes, figure painting, wildlife, and even still life in certain cases, depending upon the artist’s preference.
