Dhara - A 3D printed retreat

This 3D-printed vacation residence, nestled in the contoured landscape between Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab, features load-bearing printed walls and a sculptural helical staircase—Helix 1.0—as its focal point. The residence comprises four zoned blocks that maximize views , has  and blend with nature through minimal walls and organic forms. Helix 1.0 is a post-tensioned, modular staircase with 20 dry-connected steps, each printed with concrete  using non-planar printing  technique by optimizing it  for post-tensioning and structural stability. The project explores the synergy of landscape-driven design and advanced fabrication, offering a futuristic yet context-sensitive retreat that redefines structural expression through additive manufacturing.
