The project draws inspiration from the ghostly Monotropa Uniflora, translating its delicate, translucent nature into architecture. A fabric ceiling unfurls from a central column, drawing from the metaphor "singular" embedded fibre optic lighting. Gradated perforations on the façade bring dappled, dynamic light into the space, creating an ever-shifting play of shadow and glow. The result is a home that doesn’t shout, but whispers—a space that invites calm, introspection, and a gentle connection with nature. It feels light yet rooted, open yet protective. It’s a quiet celebration of ethereal beauty, inspired by a plant most people will never see in real life, but one that leaves a lasting impression when imagined through architecture.
