This project explores a theatrical space inspired by Kafka’s Metamorphosis, emphasizing the themes of alienation, transformation, and dehumanization. The design reflects overlapping and continuous spaces to symbolize Gregor’s psychological and physical confinement, while evoking the degrading relationships within his family. Fluid transitions between scenes mirror the irony of his metamorphosis, where external change contrasts with internal stagnation. The space aims to immerse the audience in Gregor’s isolation, highlighting the cyclical pressures of societal expectations.
