ACROSS BORDERS, making the world better through threads

Contemporary Craft-Design Practices are bringing a new wave in the field of Traditional Crafts of India. The studio deals with the exposition of such practices through research, exploration and designing of temporal and assembled spatial systems in public space. The theme of the knock down exhibition is CONTEMPORARY CRAFTS: ACROSS BORDERS: MAKING THE WORLD BETTER THROUGH THREADS. The objects being displayed in the exhibition talk about how social cause and threads come together through weaving and embroidery across borders (International, state or mental) to make contemporary craft objects of India. We will see examples that provide economic and social empowerment through weaving and embroidery. The concept of Layering and diagonal placement has been used to elevate the exhibition.
