Tradition

The idea was to create a knock-down exhibition to exhibit contemporary craft pieces. Traditions are long-established customs or beliefs that have been passed on from one generation to another. There are numerous examples of handicrafts from the Indus Valley Civilization. The tradition of crafts in India has grown around religious values, needs of the common people and also the needs of the ruling elites.  This collection brings together the products of all the design- ers who have worked with artisans arcoss the country to make products that have been inspired by Indian practices and rituals.
