The Urban Management Foundation Studio (Monsoon Semester 2024), focuses on POL Housing assessment in Ahmedabad through Facility Management Framework . With 134 households and several graded heritage structures, the project examines built fabric, occupancy, and community dynamics. It proposes revitalization strategies, including implementing HTDR policies, restoring gates, establishing a library, and introducing community engagement initiatives. Focus areas include infrastructure improvements like firefighting systems, stormwater management, and maintenance regimes. The project aims to preserve the cultural essence while modernizing facilities, fostering community cohesion, and promoting sustainable development in this UNESCO Heritage-listed area.
