Shelter For Urban Homeless

The Shelter for Urban Homeless (SUH) is an important component of the National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM), with the goal of providing secure and dignified shelters with basic services to the homeless population in urban regions. The successful ground-level implementation of strong policies is nevertheless hindered by deficiencies in facility management, resource allocation, and policy adaptation to local conditions. By emphasizing facility management as a enabler, this study tries to bridge the gap between policy and practice in SUHs. In order to promote a humanitarian attitude to urban development.
