Street Vendors Management

Street Vendor are not acknowledge irrespective of contributions they create in the economy of India along-with the services they provide. The Street Vendors Act, 2014 and National Urban Livelihood Mission have been established but its implementation at the city level is yet to be made.Currently, a lot of Encroachment removal drives are being processed without any concrete development plan, providing temporary spaces for vending. City vending plan is yet to be made as the survey is still not complete. Thus their is need of a proper model and rules for relocation and vending that would look into livelihood as well.
