Solid waste management is one of the major issues that needs to be addressed considering the enormous amount of waste that is generated per day(nearly 1,43,449 metric tonnes). Wards or ULBs being the lowest unit of the city administration should take charge so that the waste generation is reduced and the generated amount is effectively collected disposed. To understand the waste collection & disposal system and the issues related to it in a better way, a citizen & official survey was conducted. Solutions were derived keeping in mind the Segregation mission by 'Swacch Bharat Abhiyan'.
