CIP studio was aimed to develop a City Infrastructure Plan (CIP), keeping in mind the infrastructural aspect for the same. The studio helped in understanding the various layers of infrastructure and aimed at understanding the preparation of an integrated and comprehensive infrastructure plan. The entire batch of 20 students was divided into two groups. The first group was looking at CIP for the Ahmedabad Heritage city area and the other group was looking at 3 villages from the western periphery of AUDA. The studio started with the simple exercise of knowing different infrastructure which is present at our hometown and who is managing them and then studio ended with the formulation of the pilot project Out of various infrastructure sectors, five sectors were selected for detailed study in these three village i.e. water, sanitation, solid waste management, Blue-Green and social infrastructure. From this, our group worked on Blue-green infrastructure. Under this CIP for this village were which included various strategies. Out of this strategy, two were selected as pilot projects to do a detailed study. This Portfolio focuses on the Lake restoration and development pilot project. Out of 3 major lakes in this area, Godhavi lake was selected for the pilot. This portfolio gives detail information on that are the strategies which are chosen to achieve a result, what all component which is included under this project and their detail costing. Also, it shows how CIP and this pilot are connected, which aim at achieving sustainable and resilient development of this area.
