The Mithi Khadi pilot project in Surat is about bringing a neglected canal back to life naturally. Using Phytorid wetlands , it treats wastewater in an eco-friendly way while turning the area into a greener, healthier space for nearby communities. Located near Anjana STP, this 1 km stretch will see native plants, walkways, and signs that invite people to reconnect with nature. With support from AMRUT 2.0 and the Smart Cities Mission, the project shows how we can clean water, cool our cities all while keeping things low cost and rooted in nature.
