Water Smart TP Scheme - A Three-Tap Water Supply

This project focuses on improving Surat’s water supply system by introducing a three-tap model. With the city growing rapidly, there’s an increasing demand for reliable and fair water access. This approach helps reduce waste of high-quality treated water, encourages efficient use, and makes water management more affordable and reliable for the long term. Surat is currently using a large volume of treated freshwater. By adopting a three-tap system and encouraging reuse through rainwater harvesting, the city can significantly reduce water wastage, cut costs, and avoid the need for future infrastructure expansion.
