REVIVAL AND RESTORATION OF TRADITIONAL WATER HARVESTING

This project depicts progression to identify, assessment, need, safeguard, restore and promote sustainable use of global ecosystems, & reverse land degradation & break biodiversity loss through an existing traditional rainwater harvesting system. It also relates case studies of various traditional rainwater harvesting systems and their modality to meet partial water requirements throughout the year without incurring huge capital expenditure and also to facilitate the availability of uncontaminated water for various needs. This project also emphasizes the past performances, challenges faced, survey methodology, mechanisms, and working parameters of the traditional water harvesting system along with the cost-benefit tactic of the project.
