Tourism and Water Equity: A Water ATM Pilot Project

Ujjain is a popular tourist destination in Madhya Pradesh and attracts a large number of tourists every year. The city is facing a severe water crisis due to the rapid urbanization and increasing population, resulting in groundwater depletion, contamination of water sources, and inadequate supply of water. The situation is further aggravated during the tourist season, where the demand for water increases manifold. Therefore, there is an urgent need to provide safe and reliable drinking water to the tourists visiting Ujjain's tourist areas.The project aims to provide clean and safe drinking water to the tourists visiting Ujjain's popular tourist destinations through the installation of Water ATMs.
