The foundation studio was all about  understanding the city as a whole as cities do not exist in isolation , different parts with different stories of evolution collectively form a city. The process was to study the whole city from macro to micro level and understanding hierarchies of the different aspects forming a city. While understanding the whole process of the city, we came to know about many major transport network proposals in sabarmati area, so our main focus after understanding city at macro level was shifted to the micro and meso level study of sabarmati area.
