This is part of a study on "Urban fringes: A case of Chandkheda, Ahmedabad". This part mainly deals with street design and how most of the streets in India are not particularly designed for pedestrians.
Streets in the fringe areas often lack the basic street infrastructure including an absence of walkable footpaths. Hence this project deals with the various issues related to street infrastructure in the fringe areas and how proper street design can help with the same.
