Sheltering Hope: Building Future for relocated Families

This redevelopment project focuses on enhancing interaction among the residents of the existing rehabilitation center in Vashi Naka, Mumbai, and its surrounding context. The primary design concept involves creating a spacious central plaza that accommodates various institutions, with connections to additional open spaces leading to the main road. The inclusion of institutions aims to attract more people to the site, increasing foot traffic. A key consideration is the provision of interior spaces that cater to the residents' needs, ensuring proper ventilation, sunlight, and other amenities lacking in the current facility. The overarching goal is to transform the site into a more livable and comfortable environment for the rehabilitated individuals, fostering a sense of happiness in their relocation and promoting a stronger sense of belonging among them.
