Interactive Facades: The studio gave the students an opportunity to develop an understanding of the community residing, and facing problems, in Nehrunagar, Surat. The way of living had a different character which cannot be contained in a high rise. The solution is in designing a housing to these migrants in a way that instead of them adapting to new dwellings, the dwelling adapts to this vibrant community. 'Conversing Balcs' focuses on the aspect of streets in the sky. It attempts on creating a dialogue between facades of two different units or even two clusters having their balconies facing each other. The circulation of the project is centric to the balconies.
