To create a walkable neighborhood using energy sustainable resources. To have a walkable neighborhood the most important thing is to have a network of amenities around the household supported by well distributed open spaces of different scale throughout the neighborhood. To incorporate natural energy such as sun wind water different measures are taken Sun- orientation of building is done in such a manner that the building receives max solar access and the façade can be incorporated with solar panes so as to generate electricity for that particular building. Wind- the buildings are extruded in an angle to compliment the flowing wind so as to increase its speed and because of the orientation and typology maximum shade on the street is achieved so that there is cool breeze flowing on the street. Water – hydraulic pumps could be installed in the entrance of the regenerated swale so that it creates hydraulic electricity which could be used to power the public spaces present on the site. A walkable patch is of a distance of 500m therefore whole site is broken down into patches of 500m and developed keeping in min the corresponding patch so that the amenities don’t clutter and also don’t overlap.
