Breathing New Life into Commerce

The program Generative Techniques for Urban Place Making principally focuses on URBAN REVITALIZATION. With context to the chosen site that is Fatasha ni pol in the vicinity of Manek Chowk, the revitalization process includes the transformation of residences into godowns, workshops, apartments, offices and other commercial spaces. These spaces offer great opportunities for economic development as the space offers constant interactions and exchanges. Parking is a noticeable issue in the space with such narrow lanes. Though there is no 2 wheeler access after a certain point but the two wheeler traffic also makes it congested. The secondary road along the site is the main and commonly taken pathway by a large number of people. The issue when looked upon and tangible guidelines when set uniquely can help the space.
