Exploring the Blue Green Potential of Urban Resilience

The Development Plan studio provided opportunity to explore different aspects of Planning at a micro scale. Surat is a coastal city prone to floods, however it is also witnessing industrial boom. This intermingling of sectors drives the city development. With Surat facing greater environmental concerns in recent years, it becomes important to address the resilience of the city at a masterplan level. While such plans and concerns exist at a smaller scale, an integrated development from a macro perspective is examined and explored in this semester.
