The proposed development plan envisages Rajkot as an “Economically Diverse Polycentric City”. The focus of this Development Plan will be to promote a spatial and economic balance in order to cater to the future growth of Rajkot. Our objective was to provide a comprehensive framework for planning the future growth of the urban area of Rajkot even beyond the city limits. It includes plans for major road network, infrastructure and key amenities through proposals. We have incorporated preservation of environmentally sensitive areas and features through special projects and Land Use planning. The clear zoning and regulations were done in order to achieve a desirable urban character for different parts of the city. We closed our Development Plan Studio with cost estimation and phasing of our key projects.
