PROPOSING SPECTRUM OF BUILDING BYE-LAWS AND RELATED COST

This strategy focuses on enabling the market to provide more dwelling units that are affordable to the people of Rajkot. Making interventions in the building regulations without compromising the need for health, safety, light and ventilation, households can be brought above the affordability line. Relaxing the building regulations decreases the price of a residential units by increasing the land utilisation and decreasing the loading of ancillary services on to the carpet area. In addition to expanding the choices of housing, the rating system ensures the credibility and performance of the developer and the project which will also help the consumers in making the decision for housing.
