NRW reduction

Most of our Indian cities are soon going to run out of water if the existing water systems are not managed effectively. Thus, there is a need to manage the existing water resources efficiently. Non-revenue water (NRW) is the difference between system input volumes and billed authorized consumption. This project will look at developing a water balance to understand how much water is lost in Vadodara and then developing site specific strategies to reduce this NRW. Within the group's framework of rights and responsibilities, this project of reducing NRW will ensure efficient use and management of the water resource through saving water that can push the future water demand by a few years. Efficient provision of water also aligns with the group vision of managing water resources and assuring efficient provision of water supply service.
