The project focuses on sustaining access to toilets with a vision of Eliminating Open Defecation and providing access to adequate & equitable public sanitation facilities with special attention to the gender-sensitive toilet and empowering women. The other component of the project focuses on sustaining ODF status through school children as an agent of change that will bring out and sustain behavioral changes aimed at promoting healthy sanitary practices and ending open defecation. A safely managed sanitation chain will eventually help in protecting the health of individuals and communities and the environment.
