The project “Reuse of treated domestic wastewater in Industries” attempts to complete the loop of water and provide circular pathways which will reduce the direct disposal of the wastewater and instead provide a sustainable alternative to the Urban Local Body. The purpose of the project is to treat the secondary treated wastewater up to tertiary level and then supply the Tertiary treated water to Industrial estates via a conveyance line. This tertiary water usage will save huge quantities of precious groundwater in those areas and also provide a source of revenue for the ULB and create a win-win situation for the users as well as provider and also reduce the pollution and adverse ecological impacts in the Sabarmati river.
