Making a spot or area untidy with trash, or improperly disposing of waste, is defined as littering. Littering induces pollution, which is a serious environmental problem and has become a growing source of worry in many places. Cities are unable to efficiently manage solid waste, and as a result, waste generated by households, commercial areas, institutional areas is openly dumped across public spaces such as parks, playgrounds, water bodies, and open plots creating nuisance points within the city. This makes municipal anti-litter measures much more difficult, and the city becomes dirtier. The cleanliness of our streets and public areas affects our quality of life, economic prosperity, and health. This project will help in providing waste reduction and garbage-free city solutions to the urban local body for improving the cleanliness in the city by demonstrating a ward-level implementation of a litter-free city action plan.
