Bhujal Prabandhan: Groundwater Management Plan for Surat

The Bhujal Prabandhan project aims to develop a comprehensive groundwater management strategy for the city of Surat. This project aims to conduct a comprehensive investigation of the present state of groundwater resources, with the objective of developing measures to reduce groundwater use and prevent excessive exploitation. Furthermore, it will take the lead in spearheading initiatives aimed at revitalizing groundwater resources and fostering public awareness of the significance of conserving groundwater. The project's goals are in accordance with the City Mission Monitoring Unit of AMRUT 2.0 and will be executed at strategic sites, possibility of being replicated throughout the entire city.
