Greywater reuse for non-potable residential uses

With a limit on water extraction from Tapi river and an over-exploited groundwater table, the city has been trying to increase its capacity of treating its used water. To cater to this, implementing on-site greywater reuse in newly added areas to reduce freshwater intake. Though this is a futuristic project based on a lot of assumptions, it would still take time for the regulatory set up to establish. However, if implemented through strong will, on-site reuse and treatment of used water through dual piping can be the last mile that Surat needs to achieve 100% reuse of used water.
