Coexisting Resilience

As urbanization continues to escalate, the consequential pressure on river basins has become increasingly pronounced, leading to a steady depletion of these vital water sources. The Daman Ganga River, coursing through cities like Vapi and Daman, currently enjoys a relatively favorable status compared to many other urbanized river basins. However, proactive measures are essential to maintaining and enhancing its health amidst ongoing urbanization. A comprehensive project is needed to facilitate the coexistence of both urbanization and a resilient ecological system. The project envisions the transformation of a riverfront area into a robust, adaptable, and vibrant space that can thrive over the years. By prioritizing this harmonious coexistence between urbanization and environmental preservation, the Daman Ganga River can serve as a model for sustainable development.
