The only thing more dynamic than a city is a river. The idea of limiting such a dynamic entity like the water by considering one river line does not justify its changing form when in reality a river can be seen as an entity with an active water channel that is there throughout the volume and which keeps on increasing or decreasing depending on external conditions. Vishwamitri is one such river surrounded by the bustling city of Baroda. It exhibits the symptoms of an urban stream that often faces challenges such as floodplain encroachment, poor water quality, and bank erosion. Through the study in the module of finding and founding, it was observed that restriction of the temporal features of water or vegetation can disrupt an ecosystem and eventually adversely affect the built intervention on the site. The project aims to celebrate the transient quality of the river and its surrounding biodiversity by creating a design that adapts to the seasonal changes of the place without restricting the boundary of the natural elements.
