The project aims to enhance the quality, efficiency, and livability of dilapidated private housing through strategic redevelopment, enabling optimal land use by granting access to prime land for private developers. It seeks to unlock each site's highest potential while ensuring that existing residents benefit from improved living conditions, upgraded infrastructure, and additional amenities. The project also highlights the negotiations and agreements that occur between various stakeholders, including situations of disagreement. It includes a comparison between Ahmedabad and Surat, and presents different scenario analyses to demonstrate the key drivers that can enable successful redevelopment projects in Surat.
