The aim of this project is to holistically redesign Brahma Ghat in Pushkar by preserving its sacred significance while enhancing the spiritual, ritualistic and aesthetic experience for pilgrims and visitors. With sustained faith and enduring belief in religion and community engagement, this proposal seeks to strengthen the ghat’s cultural identity through sensitive and transformative spatial interventions. Key objectives include introducing improved access routes and multiple entry points to ease crowd flow, constructing additional facilities such as clean washrooms, changing rooms and shaded rest areas and also integrating new religious programs like ”annadaan” to promote collective participation. This design envisions creation of serene plazas and reflective zones that respect traditional rituals while accommodating present-day needs. Enhancing the visual connections and direct experience to the holy lake, incorporating architectural elements, ensuring improved pilgrim infrastructure will all enhance the spiritual experience and ensure that the ghat continues to serve as a powerful and timeless space of devotion, reflection and gathering.
