PUSHKAR ANUBHAV - Bazaar & Belief

This urban design proposal reimagines a 300-meter stretch on the main market road of Pushkar, leading to Badri Ghat as a sacred pedestrian spine that balances everyday life with spiritual purpose. Rooted in the town’s cultural fabric, the design enhances pedestrian experience through defined walkways, framed lake views, shaded pause points, and clutter-free edges. The project preserves Pushkar’s historic essence while addressing needs of locals as well as tourists i.e. crowd flow, encroachment, and street infrastructure. The outcome is a seamless parikrama marg and an immersive journey towards the ghats, where faith and commerce co-exist.
