Urban Access for All

The Urban Resource Center (URC) at Vanjaravas addresses key community challenges by providing a space for accessing urban services and fostering connections with NGOs, government agencies, and other stakeholders. Linked to the Vatva Urban Resource Center and supported by SAATH, it empowers residents to improve their living conditions. The centre is strategically located near the lake edge and the main road on AMC land, ensuring accessibility and visibility. It also functions as a Cooling Center, using passive and active strategies to combat extreme heat. This benefits vulnerable groups like children, pregnant women, and the elderly, enhancing resilience and promoting sustainable community development.
