Revitalize the school and its surroundings into a child-friendly environment by introducing elements that prioritize their safety, well-being, and play. The site is characterised by the presence of an old school surrounded by open spaces. Due to this, children occupy these spaces throughout the day for various play activities. However, with the constant vehicular movement in the chowks and alleys along with other activities like parking, drying clothes make it unsafe for children. Additionally, an old housing was repurposed into the school, which is not a conducive environment. With children as the main user group on site, the site requires child-centric approach to cater to the many children accessing the site. This projects thus aims to reimagine these spaces to create an engaging and secure setting that suffices the needs of the community’s youngest members while enhancing the overall aesthetic and functional quality of the khadki.
