Religious Trails

Mahadev no Vas is located at the entrance to the Rakhial gaam. It has a Mahadev Temple of great importance situated along the horizontal axis, from where the gaam had started expanding, centuries back. There are 4 other smaller temples located nearby. Despite the importance of these temples, their prominence has gotten lost in the dense built fabric of the gaam. The access to these temples is through narrow lanes and the interconnection between these temples is also meek. Apart from this, there are empty plots of land which have the potential to serve as good public spaces since there are none available for the residents' socio- cultural activities and celebrations to take place. The site also lacks public facilities for the residents and visitors alike. The need of the site demands spaces that foster the cultural and religious celebrations of the people.
