Strategic Transportation Plan: Vadodara 2040

This portfolio is mainly focused on the transportation planning, management and other urban parameters of the city related to transportation in the city. As a part of the second-semester strategic transportation planning - studio during the master course in urban transportation planning, a city of Vadodara in the state of Gujarat is selected and studied extensively for developing deep understanding about the transportation in an urban area along with various other urban factors related to transportation. While studying and analysing, it either developed or broaden my understanding about the various urban perspectives majorly related to transportation planning such as study area delineation, elements of the road/street, land use and its relation to the transportation in city, short term and long term economic factors, role of public transport and intermediate para transport in urban mobility, Non-motorised transport, pedestrian facility, safety in mobility, movements of freight and many more. This study introduces to the real-life constraints & problems in urban scale and leads to cross-disciplinary thinking while approaching for their solutions.
