The study area for the Strategic Plan for Urban Transport System includes complete the Rajkot urban authority area The studies conducted for Rajkot have been planned with a time horizon of twenty years. The strategic plan of urban transport system is planned in base year 2020 and horizon of 2040. The plan with a horizon period of twenty years, would consider the development of the RUDA area as well as the villages and industrial areas coming up around the city. The Plan for 2040 comprises the analysis of current scenario of transport system and future demand for the same .For the future demand it looks into the growth of the city and its simulation with land use and transport integrations.
