Mahesana is one of the important cities strategically located to the north of Ahmedabad in Gujarat. The city is also well connected with other industrial cities like Modhera and Becharaji and commercial economies like Patan , Gandhinagar and Visnagar. Mahesana which was a agricultural economy had slowly shifted to an Industrial economy in the past 20 years . This paradigm shift has been widely dependent on the development of road network as connectivity had played a vital role in major investments in the city. This portfolio is documented fundamentally based on primary survey and issue identification in the current road pattern and projection of potential spatial growth areas for the year of 2042. The portfolio aims at analyzing the expanded city morphology, and a proposal of future road network pattern and recommendations for the issues in the existing network. The proposals aims in creating a well connected Mahesana for the future.
