The aim of the studio was to outline a public transport sub-system strategy and action plan for enhancing public transport ridership in the city of Ahmedabad. Existing demand on public transport is low . Route rationalisation is undertaken taking into consideration existing and potential demand on all motorized transport. Incremental route rationalisation is suggested as complete route rationalisation maybe disruptive for riders who rely on the existing routes. Incremental changes allow riders to adjust to modifications gradually.
