Schematic Plan

Urban streets are often dominated by vehicles, sidelining the real stakeholder people. This project reimagines. Motera Road as a space that prioritizes human activity, inclusive design, and equitable access, transforming it from a traffic corridor into a vibrant public realm.

Strategies and Objective

The design proposal features detailed plans, sections, and visual representations that outline the intervention, which focuses on improving pedestrian infrastructure through wider walkways, seating areas, and designated zones for street vendors. It enhances public spaces by introducing nodes with greenery, shade, and social seating, while reconfiguring traffic flow by reducing car lanes to limit through traffic. The proposal also aims to elevate the overall design quality by integrating public transport, urban amenities, and cohesive design elements to create a well rounded, people centered streetscape.

Proposed cross-sections show clear segregation between pedestrian and vehicular zones, while maintaining visual and physical connectivity.
