State governments are developing and augmenting metro and other public transport projects in several urban centers in order to solve the traffic issues. But unless all the transport systems are integrated and complement one another the desired shift from private modes to shared mobility will not be achieved. The project discusses an idea of developing metro feeder service for Mumbai Metro Line 1 to improve first/last mile connectivity for Mumbai metro. The service is developed considering the learning (models, causes of failure etc.) from existing metro feeder services in other Indian cities. The project explores different aspects of the idea development and deliberates over decisions related to service planning. The project also analyzes the financial and economic implications of this idea.
