Feasibility Study of Mass Rapid Transit System- Rajkot

This project explores the planning framework and motorization trends in Rajkot to understand urban growth patterns and mobility needs. A comprehensive analysis of the existing situation identifies key challenges associated with rising motorization. The study incorporates an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (EIA and SIA) for the proposed metro alignment, addressing critical concerns like air quality, ecology, and community disruption. Based on baseline assessment, it also focuses on identifying and proposing mitigation measures for negative implications. Additionally, emission scenarios are analyzed under varying conditions, including current trends, increased public transport usage, and electrification, to promote sustainable urban mobility.
