Social Connect within the Greens

With the changing pace of life there has been a significant change in the lifestyle of people and the way we socialize. The lifestyle we are adopting has also increased the dependency on automobiles thereby reducing the chances of meeting other people. This brings in disconnect with the surrounding environment leading us to a unhealthy lifestyle. But there is a way we can change this situation. As rightly stated by William Whyte in the theory of Triangulation “People meet people when they see people” and since social life in public spaces can contribute fundamentally to the quality of life of individuals and society as a whole. This township “Social Connect within the Greens” comes up with an idea to bring back to us the healthy lifestyle by introducing The Green NMT Loop which helps in slowing down the pace of movement within the township. This increases the chances of people meeting other people. The Loop introduces a new way to commute for our daily needs which connects the neighbourhoods of the township seamlessly by providing a base of multi modal integration that includes E-shuttle service and public bicycle sharing. Thus, the theory of Triangulation has been an useful concept for achieving Social Connect within the Greens by introducing the Green NMT Loop as a catalyst for community engagement. Living here would enhance the social and physical wellbeing of the residents thereby leading to a healthy lifestyle.
