Equalizing women's claim on the city

For women to claim the city equally, women’s necessities have to be taken into consideration. Women’s presence on the street is usually purpose-oriented as they are mostly observed being busy with their household work. Thus reducing trip chaining and better access to spaces will encourage more and more women to be on the streets. Keeping in mind the safety and accessibility as primary requirements, this project aims at providing better access and safety to public transport and public infrastructure to women as uninterrupted access to such facilities help women claim the city well. The interventions aim at helping women to come out on the street without pre-planning their journey and claim the street equally as men do.
