Reimagining Institutional Egdes

Through research and mapping this project is designed with the purpose of encouraging more women of all income groups and age groups to take part on the site that is LD college food street branching out from the University road in Navrangpura, Ahmedabad. The street was 'un-gendered' by designing a plaza by carving out space from the institutional edge. This is done through various means like inclusivity of all, diversity and multifunctionality of a space. Access, leisure and work for women are three main aspects that are provided for women on the street to ‘ungender’ the street.
